In 2011, after 10 years of experience in the fishing industry and a long research activity in the fascinating world of tuna, we founded Bituna, a company specialized in selecting, classifying and marketing the best specimens of tuna and other species.
Our team has been trained in the sea, initially working in bluefin tuna farms and later in tuna fishing boats.
We have recently moved to a new factory located in Totana (Murcia), with new high-tech super-frozen systems at -60ºC, in order to optimise our processes and offer the highest quality to our customers. The use of super-freezing systems, as well as the control we carry out during all stages of production, help us to obtain a perfect product that keeps its original properties such as taste, colour, smell and texture, while maintaining maximum freshness.
We also care about sustainability and innovation with the aim of preserving and making responsible use of oceans, seas and marine resources. This is why we work to promote sustainable development through the MSC label that regulates the production of fish from sustainable fisheries.
